Sowmya Subramanian

With over 27 years of experience in software engineering across the consumer and enterprise space and as a founding member and leader of YouTube Music, YouTube Live, and YouTube Kids, I am very excited to support Riya’s vision for Enchanted Concerts. While transforming YouTube as a platform for artists and fans to discover music, I worked closely with several artists, established and emerging. What stood out for me is the passion, creativity, and dedication of artists, and how much they care about their fans. Live concerts, especially, are critical to unlocking the artist-fan magic and to empower fans. Sadly not everyone is able to have a worry-free concert experience, particularly those that are immunocompromised. I know this, as we have to take a lot of precautions when Riya attends concerts due to her liver transplant. Riya’s idea to make concerts accessible to other kids like her, and to bring the magic of concerts to them, is exhilarating. I am really glad to be part of her journey, and can’t wait to leverage my experience in technology and the music industry to help realize this vision.
